When pols step in the barnyard manure

As if Ohio Secretary of State (Disaster?) J. Kenneth Blackwell did not have enough problems with his election rulings, he has gone from the frying pan to the fire by deciding to play Farmer Ken. In that role, he has described same-sex marriage as `barnyard logic.'' As a person might expect, there are those who took exception to Blackwell's description, and his explanation of it and his support of Issue 1 (the proposed state amendment to not only ban gay marriage but also to prohibit any relationships other and male-female marriages). Blackwell told Sandy Theis of The Plain Dealer that he used to barnyard analogy ``because if you're on a farm and you want eggs to eat and little chickens to grow into big chickens, you need a rooster and a hen.'' Ohioblog is sure that when Blackwell is running for seeking for governor in two years he will be able to turn for support to the egg and chicken (or chicken and egg) lobby.
