There's more to voting than registering

Monday is the final day Ohioans will be able to register to vote. Ohioblog encourages his fellow swing-staters not only to do so but also to do the homework necessary to reach an informed decision on the candidates and issues before us. For two perspectives on voter responsibility, Ohioblog commends to you an editorial ``Voting is not for everyone'') in the Buchtelite, the University of Akron independent student newspaper (where I am the adviser), and Rick Senften's Mustard Seeds column (``Uninformed vote is irresponsible act'') in the Canton Repository. Written by a Michael Wamsley, a young, promising editorialist, and Senften, one of the better thinkers and writers in all of Ohio journalism, these pieces take strong and warranted positions against those who would foul our democracy with the ignorance of their self-satisfied, uninformed opinions. (Do you think they meant Ohioblog?)
