    The One-Armed Man weeps

Not everything is politics. Gus Dallas, former Plain Dealer reporter who was the first newsman at the site of the Marilyn Sheppard muder, has died at New York-Presbyterian Hospital. He was 75 and he had cancer. "I turned in my part of the story and went back to the regular police beat the next night, as the first-string men took over the Sheppard case for The Plain Dealer," Dallas wrote in December 1954. Sad. The murder has been the source of book after book and the great TV series, The Fugitive. Cleveland was important before the veep candidates showed up.
