And we thought it was football season

Welcome to what the Washington Post's John f. Harris terms ``the season of bluster in Ohio.'' Seems that Harris and the Post, which has been doing periodic reports from the state because it is ``the most battled over of battleground states,'' doubts the veracity of the numbers of voters the two sides claim to have registered. (And Harris wasn't even around for this past weekend's celebrity efforts to register voters in both Akron and Canton.)

No one is quite sure how many people have been registered and, of course, how many will vote, but Harris concludes that the campaigns' ``ground game'' of going after voters is indeed impressive. Sort of, three yards and a cloud of voters. Woody would be proud.
