President Bush owns Ohio. The latest USA Today/CNN/Gallop Poll says so. This is great.
Maybe now the president will actually do something to help the 230,000 Ohioans who have lost their jobs in the
last four years. (He can start with Ms.Ohioblog.) If the Ohio is once again going to support President Bush,
the state should fare better with the prez than it has since 2000.
According to poll, Bush has made a remarkable climb from 6 points behind in mid-July to 9 points ahead today.
For the mathematically challenged, that is a 15 point reversal in about six weeks.
``What's happening,'' Matthew Dowd, chief strategist fo rthe bush campaign told USA Today, ``is more and more
states that are Bush states (form 2000) are getting taken off the talbe. Now the battleground states are
becoming much more predominatntly Gore States, which is good news for us.''
If Dowd believes his assessment, then let's see W. coast by pulling some of his Ohio advertising and spending
his time in other states.
No? Ohioblog thought so. The polls mean zilch at this stage.
